It's been a big news week for the American Idol Associate Music Directors. First, we got word that Michael Orland is offering students from Sonoma State a one-day music seminar.  We now have confirmation that Associate Music Director Dorian Mode has just released an album.  This is his chance to prove he can practice what he preaches to the Idols each season! Most likely, this won't be the first time you've encountered Dorian's vocals, as he has quite an extensive history in the music industry.  He has done all of Michael Jackson’s solo tours; he was also a featured soloist touring with Queen Latifah, James Taylor,  and Linda Ronstadt.  He has toured with Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie, Don Henley, and has sung with Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Usher, Cristina Aguilera, Fantasia, Stevie Nicks, Patti Labelle, Chris Brown, Herbie Hancock, Jon Legend, Chris Daughtry, Mary J. Blige, Joni Mitchell, Jennifer Hudson, Joss Stone, Seal, Chrisette Michele and many, many others.  "Idol" isn't his only foray into television, as he also sings on "Don't Forget The Lyrics".  As if all this doesn't keep him busy enough, Dorian teaches vocal performance at the Los Angeles Music Academy in Pasadena, California. Dorian's album, INDEPENDENT FILM, is available online.
