"It girl" Carrie Underwood sat down with ELLE Magazine for their latest issue to discuss her quick rise to fame and all that comes with it, including being grist for the rumor mill. She recently heard that she is supposedly dating Olympian Michael Phelps. She exclaimed “I never met the guy! I’m sure he’s lovely. I’m sure he’s a great guy. He made America proud! But I never met him, I never mentioned him in an interview, I never mentioned him in that way to anybody that I know. That was one of those completely, totally, utterly fabricated lies that came out of nowhere”. She reveals to ELLE that this is the very reason she tries to keep her own love life out of the media. And she took the time to explain her infamous comment that Tony Romo still calls her and how it was (Surprise!) taken out of context.
