Carrie Underwood was the biggest winner at last night’s People’s Choice Awards.
The American Idol champion took home trophies for Favorite Female Singer, Favorite Country Song and Favorite Star 35 & Under.
“God has blessed me with a wonderful life and a wonderful career and the most amazing fans I could ever dream for,” Underwood told the audience. “People being fans and people voting for me are what gave me a career in the first place, and its so amazing that they continue to support [me].”
Jordin Sparks, meanwhile, shared an honor with Chris Brown. The duo won the category Favorite Combined Forces award for the popular duet “No Air.”
Jordin Sparks is among the numerous singers and judges from American Idol sending well wishes to Jennifer Hudson and her family.
“I just want to tell her that I love her and I’m praying for her,” Sparks said this week. “She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, so I hope I get to see her soon.

Sparks added:
“I’m pretty sure she got strength from her Mom. Now that she is not here anymore, I’m pretty sure she’s drawing it from her other family members, her really close friends and the people who are telling her she can do it.”
Sarah Palin must be a big fan of Jordin Sparks. Bristol Palin? Not so much.
At last night’s MTV Music Awards, host Russell Brand made a few jokes at the expense of The Jonas Brothers. He wondered why they wear purity rings when – considering their age, popularity and looks – they could be having so much sex.
Sparks, also a purity ring wearer and well-known virgin, took exception to these swipes and said so before introducing T.I. to the crowd for a performance.
“I just have one thing to say about promise rings. It’s not bad to wear a promise ring,” Sparks said, “because not everybody – guy or girl – wants to be a slut.”
Amen, Jordin! We admire her for speaking out on such a controversial subject.
At last night’s Teen Choice Awards, a quarter of American Idol finalists posed on the red carpet for fans.
